Fundamentals of Yoga
Series One / Two & Three
Autumn 2023

Whether you are brand new to yoga or wish to deepen your practice, this course is designed to offer you the foundations in the disciplines of Meditation, Movement ( Asana) , Pranayama ( working with the breath), Mantras, Mudras and a sprinkling of philosophy. The teachings of Yoga are expansive and a lifetime dedication. This course is borne of my own personal yoga journey over the past 18 years and I consider it an honour to share and shape this offering with you. The course will take place in my petite home studio of My Yoga Seed on Oldham Edge on Mondays nights from 6pm for 75mins. Starting 4th of September ( Sept 4th, 11th,18th,25th & Oct 2nd) The movement part of the course is suitable for all including beginners as alternatives and adaptations will be offered to suit our own unique beings. The numbers are limited to 6 people and it's my hope and vision that we will grow our own supportive community from this gathering. I will open a whatsapp group upon registration for those that wish to reflect, question and share their experiences as we move through the course. This is the first part of a 3 x part series taking place in Autumn 2023.

Gentle Yoga into Meditation
Manchester Yoga Central.
Wednesdays Nights 6pm

The beauty of this gentle flow is that you get to work through a choreographed sequence but you are encouraged to do so with a sense of calm, intention and attention. It is so important to approach this practice with mindfulness and to connect not only to your breath but to also listen to the innate & inbuilt intelligence that our bodies already possess. As we move through postures, we maybe stay there for 4 or 5 breaths but it's not about holding a rigid posture but rather exploring the pose and seeing how your body responds. It's all about making the pose work for your body at this very moment in time. Opening and closing, deepening and rising with the breath. Awakening to the more subtle layers within which radiate from our Dantien - our Centre of Gravity. We will bring the practice to a close with a guided mindful meditation.

Please note that the booking link will take you to the Manchester Yoga Central website. It is not possible to book via My Yoga Seed.
