May 2022: ............. My Monday Night Live Virtual Offering via zoom will continue which ensures that you can continue to enjoy yoga from the comfort of your own home. My Tuesday Night Class at Shaw & Crompton Royal British Legion is now up and running and developing into a lovely Community gathering. There are still places available for this Gentle Yoga into Meditation Class. This is now available to pre-book online or there will be a small number of drop in places available on the night. Classes are back up and running at Manchester Yoga Central which inspired so much at the beginning of my yoga journey. It's always such an honour to teach in this deeply spiritual setting. My Slow Flow into Meditation Class is every Wednesday at 6.15pm. It is a 75min Class and bookable only via MYC website : https://www.manchesteryogacentral.co.uk/classes. I also offer one to one tuition classes in Oldham from Friday to Sunday. These are tailored to suit your individual needs. I am also putting together some studio workshops and collaborations coming up early Summer and will release more information and dates on these very soon.
Gentle Yoga into Meditation
In this 75 min class we will move through a series of postures working initially from the floor and then up through to standing. This is a Hatha based practice with influences of Yin. It is a beautiful, breath led class to awaken your body and prepare you for the week ahead both physically and mentally. We will close with a Guided Mindful Meditation. This class is offered via zoom. It is suitable for all levels including Beginners. Go to the 'Book Online' section of this website.

Tuesdays Nights at Shaw & Crompton Royal British Legion ( 1 Newton Street, Shaw, Oldham, OL2 8NX) at 6.30pm. This is a 75 min Hatha based class where we will work through a number of asanas from Limbering through to Sun Salutations to Balances back to floor and the practice of Yin. We will close with a guided Mindful Meditation ( Savasana). This class is suitable for all levels including Beginners. This is available to pre-book by going to the 'Book Online' section.

Slow Flow into Guided Meditation.Wednesdays 6.15pm/ 75 mins/£7

The beauty of Slow Flow is that you get to work through a choreographed sequence but you are encouraged to do so with a sense of calm, intention and attention.
It is so important to approach this practice with mindfulness and to connect not only to your breath but to also listen to the innate & inbuilt intelligence that our bodies already possess.
As we move through postures, we maybe stay there for 4 or 5 breaths but it's not about holding a rigid posture but rather exploring the pose and seeing how your body responds. It's all about making the pose work for your body at this very moment in time. Opening and closing, deepening and rising with the breath. Awakening to the more subtle layers within which radiate from our Dantien - our Centre of Gravity. We will bring the end the practice to a close with a guided meditation.

Private One to One Tuition
One to one tuition can be a tremendous way to either begin your yoga journey or further develop your skills. Each class is tailored to meet your needs and aspirations. An initial consultation will be necessary to establish what your requirements are and then we can agree on the best way forward to meet your needs. Classes can take place in person at my home studio in Oldham. Rates start at £35 per hour with initial consultation free.
My Story so far
A Life of Balance
Sharon first discovered and fell in love with the practice of yoga in 2006 whilst travelling around Asia.
She eventually undertook her Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Campus, Manchester.
Sharon has since completed further studies in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Meditation TT with Michael Stone and Ayurveda & Yoga for Menopause. She recently trained in the Vipassana system of 10 day silent meditations at Dharma Dippa, Hereford and looks forward to returning in the near future.
She also has a keen interest in Aromatherapy and working with Sacred Oils. Sharon is also currently training to be a Reiki Therapist.
Her enthusiasm never wanes as she continues to learn, grow and share this Wonderful Gift of Yoga. In her teaching she encourages each individual to seek and find that true sweet connection between the body and mind via the breath. Sharon teaches Hatha, Slow Flow, Yin, Restorative Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation. She teaches at her own home studio in Oldham called My Yoga Seed as well as other venues in and around Oldham and She manages and teaches at Manchester Yoga Central in Old Trafford.
